Promoting competitive soccer in Grinnell, Iowa since 2010!

GPS Mid-Iowa was originally formed in 2010, as Mid-Iowa FC in an effort to bring quality soccer to players in and around Grinnell, Iowa. In June 2019, Mid-Iowa FC partnered with GPS Iowa to become GPS Mid-Iowa! 

GPS Mid-Iowa offers three levels of play:

1. Recreational, or Level 3:  Teams are formed from interested players in the greater Grinnell area, practice and play their home games at Ahrens Park.  

2. Academy, 9U and 10U only:  The Academy program is offered as part of the GPS Iowa program in Altoona.  Academy teams train Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:45 and play their games in the greater Des Moines metropolitan area.  

3. Select/Competitive:  Player 11U-19U who are interested in playing at the next level can try-out and if selected, play on the GPS Iowa Select teams for their age group.  Select teams train 3-4 nights a week at the Spring Creek Complex in Altoona.  GPS Mid-Iowa Select players can choose to train on Mondays evening at Ahrens Park with a GPS Iowa coach in lieu of traveling to Altoona
